October 22, 2019
ATLANTA — Hawks Talon Gaming Club, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, announced today that it has obtained the first-round, 16th overall pick of the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft in a trade with NetsGC. In exchange, Hawks Talon will send Rando (Randolph Moreno) to NetsGC, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets.
This trade occurred after the club acquired Bp (Michael Diaz) and the second-round and fourth-round selections in a trade with Kings Guard Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, in exchange for Dat Boy Shotz (Connor Rodrigues) and Hawks Talon’s first-round and second-round selections.
“We look forward to using this first-round pick to find an impact player who will compliment Bp’s elite skillset,” said Hawks Talon Head Coach and General Manager Wesley Acuff. “We want to build a winning culture in Atlanta as we head into our second season. We want to thank Rando, and we wish him the best of luck back in his hometown.”
Before today’s trade, NetsGC acquired the 16th overall pick in the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft in a trade for NateKahl (Nate Kahl) with Pacers Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers.
Hawks Talon will now have five selections in the upcoming draft. Joining the 16th overall pick are the second-round and fourth-round picks from Kings Guard Gaming, as well as the team’s original third-round and fourth-round selections.
