Hawks Talon GC Moves To 3-2 During Week 4

ATLANTA – Earlier this evening, Hawks Talon Gaming Club split two games during Week 4 of the 2019 NBA 2K League Regular Season. The outcome of the team’s first matchup was a 55-57 loss to Mavs Gaming, and the result of the second game was a decisive 68-54 victory over NetsGC as the club outscored their opponents by a score of 40 to 20 during the second and third quarters.
“We had a tough time closing out the first game against Mavs Gaming,” Hawks Talon GC’s Team Manager and Head Coach Wesley Acuff said. “I am proud of our guys for being resilient and earning a statement victory over NetsGC. Our focus will now turn to Las Vegas and competing at THE TURN powered by AT&T.”
In the team’s first game at Mavs Gaming, Rando (Randolph Moreno) led the team with 15 points to go along with four assists and two steals. Dat Boy Shotz finished the game with 14 points, three rebounds and four assists while ARSONAL (Devon Peek) totaled a team-high 19 rebounds and scored eight points. Hawks Talon’s Jay A Fool (Jonathan Jefferson) and DevGoss (Devin Gossett) each added nine points to the team’s performance.
In the team’s second matchup of the evening against NetsGC, Dat Boy Shotz led the team with a franchise-record 29 points, three steals, two assists and two rebounds. This performance led him to recognition as the Intel Player of the Game for the second time this season (Week 2 vs. Kings Guard Gaming). ARSONAL collected a season-high 19 rebounds and a game-high two blocks all to go along with 10 points. This was the fourth game this season where ARSONAL finished with a double-double. Hawks Talon’s Rando finished with 14 points and four assists. DevGoss scored eight points and three assists while Jay A Fool contributed to the team’s victory with seven points and two steals.
Hawks Talon will soon compete in a 20-game, single-elimination tournament called THE TURN powered by AT&T at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at The Luxor. These games will be livestreamed on the league’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
