Hawks Talon GC Victorious Against Pacers Gaming In Week11

ATLANTA – As part of Week 11 of the 2019 NBA 2K League Regular Season, Hawks Talon Gaming Club played in two games. Due to an illness, the club’s first overall pick from the 2018 NBA 2K League Expansion Draft, DAT BOY SHOTZ (Connor Rodrigues) was unable to compete in both of this week’s games. The result of Hawks Talon’s first game was a 67-79 loss to Knicks Gaming, and the outcome of the second matchup was a 75-67 victory over Pacers Gaming.

“Through all the adversity that we faced, I was confident in our team’s ability to execute our coach’s gameplans,” Hawks Talon GC’s RANDO (Randolph Moreno) said. “It feels amazing to get a win over Pacers Gaming, and we look forward to Dat Boy Shotz returning next week. We still feel we have a lot to prove, and we want to close out the season strong.”

The club’s victory over Pacers Gaming was the first all season. Hawks Talon competed with Pacers Gaming two other times: once, as part of THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T, and the other, as part of THE TICKET powered by AT&T. Hawks Talon’s RANDO (Randolph Moreno), who earned recognition after the Week 11 game as the Intel Player of the Game for the first time in his career, led the team with 23 points and seven assists. ARSONAL (Devon Peek) recorded another double-double performance and tallied 19 points and 14 rebounds. JAY A FOOL (Jonathan Jefferson) and XXSTL2LAXX (Mark Hampton, Jr.) each contributed with 12 points, and MRSTYLEZ (Drew Valle) finished with nine points and four assists.

In the team’s loss to Knicks Gaming, four different Hawks Talon players totaled at least 10 points. Hawks Talon’s JAY A FOOL led the team with a career-high 24 points while MRSTYLEZ put up 15 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. ARSONAL totaled 10 points and a team-high 10 rebounds, which marked his first double-double performance since the team’s Week 8 loss to Lakers Gaming. He also led the team with four steals. RANDO totaled 10 points and four rebounds, and XXSTL2LAXX rounded out the group with eight points, two rebounds, two steals and a team-high six assists.

Hawks Talon will close out regular season play during Week 12 with two matchups: the first against Wizards District Gaming at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 18, and the second against Heat Check Gaming at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, July 19. These two games will be livestreamed on the league’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
